Golf in a paradise called Mauiritius

Mauritius is an island of Rainbow - actually a mixture of Eastern and Western cultures live together in a tropical island green full of color and contrast. The Dutch, French and English have all controlled the island sometime in the past and the impact of all is still very remarkable and now mixes with Creole and influences the India to create a mistook harmonious pot of cultures.

Today the island is dotted with sophisticated hotels, laying down rules for the world over. But there is more than only autonomous island resorts. For the connoisseur of the beach of the island is a treasure, but between the sand and dazzling blue seas is a scenic island with extinct volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls, forests and botanical gardens. Belle Mare Plage on the East coast of the island has two 18-hole championship courses. The main dish is "Legends", which was designed by Hugh Baiocchi and opened back in 1994 and the suspensions Mauritius open each December. "Links" was designed by Rodney Wright and Peter Allis and opened in late 2002.
